HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT US

When you’re caring for a child or young adult with cerebral palsy, it’s often a daily challenge to keep them comfortable. Here at AK Foundation Charity, we are continuously raising funds to help struggling families provide their loved ones with the specialist equipment they need to help with everyday life. We are keen to raise money to purchase specialist bathroom equipment, cots/beds and cerebral palsy chairs, with posture-correcting features like moulded seats, fully adjustable lateral supports, footplates and head supports.

We are currently fundraising for:

Motomed Accessible Bike

AK Foundation Charity is proud to feature in Parity’s September newsletter. We are delighted to have raised over £5,000 for them to purchase a Motomed Accessible Bike for their centre users. Thank you to everyone who made a donation and supported us in our fundraising endeavours.

Donate to our clothing recycling banks!

AK Foundation Charity has many personalised and branded clothing recycling bins located around the region for you to donate your pre-loved clothing, paired shoes, household textiles and other textile accessories. This is a great way to support our important causes and to also help our environment by keeping unwanted garments out of landfill.

Remember, your donations need to be in good enough condition for us to resell, so when sorting out your textiles just ask yourself if your items are suitable to be resold to someone else? If the answer is yes, we definitely want them. If you have some items which are a little worn, that’s fine too. Click here to find out what you can and can’t donate: click here

Other ways to help

Raise even more money for AK Foundation Charity by reporting illegal/unauthorised bins to our charity partner! These illegal bins take away potential funds from genuine charities who need your support, so, how can you spot an illegal bin?

  • The bin will be in very poor condition
  • There is no wording that explains the aim of the charity
  • There is no contact information available
  • The bill is full, overspilling with bags left outside and generally hazardous

Our charity partner will happily remove these unauthorised clothing bins from your area and make a £100 donation per bin to AK Foundation Charity to support our Cerebral Palsy and community initiatives.
