Empowering Families, Enabling Futures

More than a Cerebral Palsy Charity

We also feed the homeless and help provide food for children outside of school meal provisions

Our charity is not only dedicated to raising awareness and funds for people with Cerebral Palsy, but we are addressing food insecurity among vulnerable populations in our community also.

Regularly, we prepare and distribute meals to over 100 homeless individuals at a time, primarily operating in Slough and Windsor, with occasional outreach in London. We’ve established designated locations where we set up for food distribution, making it easy for the homeless community to find us and access meals without worry or uncertainty. This consistency allows us to build trust and familiarity within the community, providing not only nourishment but also a sense of stability and connection.

In addition to supporting the homeless, we are committed to helping children who face food insecurity, particularly during school holidays when access to school meals is unavailable. Our involvement in this area began when a local teacher, who volunteered at our charity shop, shared her concerns about children who struggled with food scarcity outside of term time.

Her insights opened our eyes to the urgent need for support among young students from low-income families, and we felt compelled to take action. We began by providing food supplies to two local schools, ensuring that pupils who would otherwise go without adequate nutrition had reliable access to meals.

Our current focus is on raising £1,500 in anticipation of the upcoming Christmas holidays, during which we aim to continue this initiative. The funds will allow us to purchase food items for these schools based on specific shopping lists they provide, ensuring that each child’s nutritional needs are met equally.

By doing so, we hope to alleviate some of the pressures faced by families during the holiday season, providing them with the peace of mind that their children will have nutritious meals even when school is closed for the Christmas break.
